GONE- Michael Grant

I am going to do a review on GONE by Michael Grant.
This book is about a population of children trapped in a giant snow globe (without the snowy part) with no grown ups!
The main character of this book is a young surfer called Sam who has a strange power where he can shoot lightening bolts out of his hands. Throughout the story his powers start to develop creating drama and excitement. I recommend this book to people who like sci-fi and anything to do with super heros!

My Sister Jodie- Jacqueline Wilson

I read 'My Sister Jodie' a while ago but I still remember the book clearly. It doesn't start off slow and the characters backgrounds are very good.
At the end I was in tears. I recommend this book to ANYONE!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory- Roald Dahl

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl is very good. It tells you about Charlie who is very poor and he stays with his mum and his 2 grans and 2 granddads. But then Charlie finds 50p in the snow and he gets a chocolate bar and in it there is a ticket to Wonka's factory and he goes there with his granddad Joe and.... [you'll have to read it to find out what happens at the end!!]

The Hunger Games- Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games is a book trilogy by Suzanne Collins. In this trilogy, Katniss Everdeen is selected from her home district (District 12) to participate in the Hunger Games, a violent competition in which 24 teenagers are sent into an arena, but only one can come out alive! This is an extremely good trilogy, it's full of suspense and I would definitely recommend it to others! :)

Ally's World- Karen McCombie

Ally's World by Karen McCombie

Ally's World is a series of books about Ally Love, a teenager living in London. Throughout the series, several random and funny things happen to Ally and the rest of her family/friends. Main characters in the series include Ally, her best friends Kyra and Sandie, her siblings Rowan, Tor and Linn, and her four cats. This is a brilliant series; it's very funny and random!

The Recruit- Robert Muchamore

This is the first in the CHERUB books series one (series two: book one People's Republic came out in August).
'The Recruit' is about a boy named James Choke whose mum died in London. So James and his step-sister Lauren were taken to a children's home. Lauren's dad takes her home with him but he doesn't want James. James receives an offer to join CHERUB which is a group of child spies. He accepts. Read the book to find out if he passes Basic Training...

The Raspberry Rules- Karen McCombie

Thirteen-year-old Rowan Love is confused. Everybody keeps telling her she's annoying, teachers think she's crazy and disorganised, her older sister REALLY irritates her and her best friend thinks she's a freak! So when Rowan decides to buy a notebook and make a list of rules for life, the 'Raspberry Rules' are born. Most of the rules are a bit crazy ('I will not put raspberries in soup?!') but overall this is a brilliant read.

Warrior Cats

Erin Hunter is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Her books are about clans of cats, and the hardships they suffer due to humans and natural disasters. There are four clans. These are- Thunderclan (Fierce and brave), Windclan (Swift and loyal), Riverclan (Sleek and strong) and Shadowclan (Wily and proud). This is a fantastic series, our personal favourites are 'A Dangerous Path' and 'The Darkest Hour'.

Greetings all!

Well after many months of 'technical difficulties' I'm glad to finally have the blog back up and running, albeit with a slightly changed name (it's now wchslibrarybookCLUB not wchslibrarybookBLOG). Thank you all for your patience, especially all the first and second years who've been waiting to see their reviews posted, I'll be posting them all over the next few weeks :)
